Argentina, eat your heart out! Greg recently heard from Maximo Seligmann (Jazz promoter and fan) formerly from Argentina and now residing in Spain. Max told Greg that when he lived in Argentina he regularly watched him playing in the Dave Dallwitz Big Band at Bondi Beach (see my Youtube Videos). Amazing! Greg at the Auckland Jazz Club. On 20 April 2008 Greg and his old piano player Neville Byrnes performed to a very appreciative crowd at the Auckland Jazz Club in New Zealand (see photo gallery). Greg and Neville had the crowd up and dancing with some great Louis numbers. A great time was had by all! MP3.com.au number ones. Due to Greg's entry into on-line sales of his albums, he has taken his tracks off the free music site MP3.com.au. Over the past year Greg has amassed a large number of MP3.com.au downloads and achieved huge success with the on-line charts (See Compositions). Greg's compositions and recordings have achieved:- 9 number 1 Dixieland Jazz songs, 6 number 1 Swing songs, 2 top 10 Latin songs, 5 top 10 and 2 top 20 Easy Listening songs 2 top 10 and 1 top 40 Accoustic songs 1 top 10 Blues song 4 top 40 Rock songs 3 top 20 and 7 top 40 Pop songs 1 top 40 Heavy Rock song Highlights included the week-ending 29/03/08 when Greg had ALL of the TOP 5 JAZZ TRACKS, a Number 1 SWING TRACK, a Number 3 LATIN TRACK, Number 2 EASY LISTENING ARTIST and finally made it as a TOP 40 POP/ROCK ARTIST! Greg's song "I'm not as think as you drunk I am" entered the charts as number 2 for Dixieland and 3 for Swing and the next week both were number 1. The song is getting a large number of hits. The song was inspired by my friend Tom Petty (Yes, THE Tom Petty) and Tom had a listen and liked it. His comment is recorded below in my Comments section. 2008 represents 30 years as a professional musician for Greg. Yes! Greg has reached 30 years as a professional musician since his first professional job with the Tony Gardner Big Band at Carlingford in 1978. Either he's doing something right or he's getting older, (or maybe both).
